Meet Kari Ann Gonzalez

Kari Ann Gonzalez

Kari's debut picture book, How to Hatch a Reader, is a favorite among parents, teachers and eager young readers alike. With adorable, modern-retro style illustrations by Rachel Suzanne, this story will leave little chicks begging for more “BBB-books" to fill their coop. Watch as new readers hatch and words fly off the pages. But don't forget to look out for that fox!

And since our readers can't get enough of those adorable chickens, we're pleased to have them back in a sequel to this popular book. Illustrator Rachel Suzanne returns to illustrate How to Hatch a Writer, in which the hens get out their big red pens to teach sneaky "Goldifox" what they're learning about writing in whole sentences.

As if that weren't enough fun, Kari used her talents to create Goat Maath: An Addition Story for kids eager to build math skills, too. Together with illustrator, Bonnie Kelso, this story promises to take learning basic math to new heights!
