Of course, Candace's talent for writing with the perfect combination of heart and humor isn't limited to our Finley series. We're delighted to publish a third book with Candace called Amber Mae and Her Strays, in which a determined little girl with a soft-spot for stray animals drives her parents past the point of no return with a house full of not-so-perfect pets. With illustrations by Carlos Vélez Aguilera, it's certain to be a colorful combination of fun for animal lovers everywhere!

Candace Spizzirri writes children's books with humor and heart in prose and in rhyme. She holds a degree in child psychology with an emphasis in emotional development.

Passionate about education, Candace co-founded an elementary school and high school in southern California where she makes her home. Candace loves spending time with her husband, two grown children, daughter-in-law, and four grandkids.

Finley: A Moose on the Caboose will be her second picture book. Her debut, Fishing with Grandpa and Skye, releases with Spork in 2022. Candace joyfully spends time each day writing and honing her craft. You might also find her breaking into dance moves that are not in the least bit embarrassing.
