Srimalie Bassani (She/Her) is an illustrator from Mantua, Italy, who’s been drawing since she could hold a pencil. She earned a Masters in Editorial Illustration from the Academy of Fine Arts in Italy and is known for her colorful, playful style, mixing digital and traditional techniques with charm and detail. Specializing in children's illustration, Srimalie has illustrated multiple critically acclaimed books published by HarperCollins, Hachette, Macmillan, Sourcebooks, and more. Her work has earned the Lucca Junior Prize, the Moonbeam Award, and named Best Children’s Books of the Year by the Bank Street College of Education.

Srimalie loves stories, cats, ceramics, and tea and brings that same warmth and curiosity into every project she illustrates.
