We are excited to welcome Lisa to the Gnome Road team as the illustrator for author Lauren Kimberly's The Holiday Train, a lyrical ode to the annual trek made by the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) train to raise awareness and collect food for people in need during the winter holiday season. Lisa's delightful characters, colorful details, and joy-filled artistic style provide a creative spark that will melt hearts and make this story a captivating read for people of all ages!

Lisa is a children’s illustrator and designer based in Minnesota. She loves drawing expressive characters and playful, nature-inspired scenes that celebrate connection, curiosity, and kindness. She especially enjoys working on stories that inspire children to connect with the beauty and magic of the natural world, as well as projects that help children feel a strong sense of belonging and confidence in who they are.

Lisa has illustrated the picture books Family of Secrets and Mouse and Bee, and has worked with the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum to illustrate their Garden Explorer Guide activity book and kid’s map.

When she’s not in the studio, she enjoys spending time outside sketching on her patio, birdwatching with her son, hiking with her family, and trying to befriend the neighborhood birds and squirrels.
